The Sanctuary Lakes Foundation Process
The Foundation meets regularly to discuss various aspects of their activities including fundraising, cadet events and functions, legal requirements, and, most importantly, the distribution of support in the form of funds for cadets associated with the Foundation. The latter being the primary activity of the Foundation.
Young people, under the age of 23, from the western suburbs of Melbourne are able to apply to the foundation for support at any time. However, funds are distributed twice per year, once in the June/July timeframe, and again in the December/January timeframe. Application for support is a two-part process, which includes a written application and a family interview. Funds are allocated by the cadet sub-committee of the Foundation.
The cadets are rated on achievement, progress toward goals since the last application, quality of presentation, the definition of specific goals, and perceived potential to achieve the stated goals. The committee reviews each submission and submits an evaluation to the entire Foundation board for approval. Once approved Cadets are notified of support via email.
Each support period requires that the cadet supplies a new application and meet with the sub-committee to discuss the progress toward goals.
The purpose of this survey is for you to provide information to the Sanctuary Lakes Foundation for your application for support by the Foundation.
The purpose of the Foundation is to offer financial and other support to approved candidates. The method of engagement is to complete a survey and submit it for evaluation by the Sanctuary Lakes Foundation Board. All information is required on the form for support by the Foundation, and the Foundation reserves the right to provide or not provide support, at their discretion.
To be approved for support by the Foundation, the candidate must:
